About Orthomania and eligibility
Who can attend an Orthomania orthodontic course?
Any qualified dentist with a BDS degree can attend. The programs are designed for general dental practitioners and no prior orthodontic experience is needed. We welcome BDS dentists from across India and abroad, and we especially encourage dentists from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Is Orthomania a degree, diploma or fellowship?
No. Orthomania is a skill enhancement program for qualified, practising dentists. It does not confer any academic degree, diploma, fellowship or specialist recognition. Participants receive a certificate of attendance or participation.
Who teaches the course?
The course is taught by Dr. Hitesh Nagrath, who holds an MDS, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics (2015) and has been in private orthodontic practice in Mumbai. He has trained general dentists since 2018. Read more on the Dr Hitesh Nagrath page.
How do I enrol or get more details?
Call or WhatsApp +91 90290 04169, or send an enquiry through the contact page. The team replies mon to sat, 10:00 am to 8:00 pm ist. Online course enrolment is completed on the course portal.
What is the difference between the offline and online courses?
The offline program is an 8 day, 3 module training in Mumbai that runs over about 6 months in small batches. The online course is a structured series of recorded lessons you can watch from anywhere. A side by side view is on the online vs offline comparison page.
Do I need any orthodontic experience before joining?
No. The curriculum starts from diagnosis and case selection and builds up to finishing, retention and aligners, so it suits dentists who are starting from the beginning as well as those who want to put structure around what they already do.
Will I be able to start treating orthodontic cases after the course?
The course teaches a structured protocol for diagnosis, planning, bonding, wire sequencing, finishing and retention, and participants receive case support afterwards. How soon you begin depends on your practice and your own case selection. We recommend starting with simple cases and discussing each case with the team.
Which appliance system is taught?
Fixed appliance teaching is built around the MBT straight wire appliance, together with bracket design, the slot size discussion, wire sequences and mechanics. Aligners and myofunctional appliances are covered as well.
Are clear aligners part of the course?
Yes. Clear aligner therapy is taught in Module 3 of the offline program and as a dedicated section of the online course, including case selection, attachments and interproximal reduction (IPR).
Offline Module-wise Program
How long is the Orthomania offline orthodontic course?
The offline Module-wise Program has 8 training days across 3 modules (3 days, 2 days and 3 days) spread over about 6 months. The gap between modules lets you apply what you learn on your own cases and bring your questions to the next module.
Where is the offline training held?
Training is held at The Dental House, Chembur East, Mumbai. See the Mumbai venue page for travel details.
What are the training timings?
Each training day runs from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
How many dentists are in a batch?
Batches are small, with a maximum of 6 dentists, so every participant gets individual attention. Seats fill early, so it is best to enquire as soon as you decide.
What is the fee for the offline course?
The fee for the complete Module-wise Program (all three modules) is Rs. 90,000. Contact the team for payment details.
What is included in the fee?
The fee includes breakfast, lunch and tea on training days, a certificate of attendance and unlimited post-course support. Accommodation and travel are not included.
Is accommodation provided for out-of-town participants?
Accommodation is not included in the fee. The team can recommend hotels near the venue in Chembur when you ask.
How is the practical training organised?
Every module combines lectures with hands-on practice. The exact format depends on the module and the batch, so the team explains it personally when you call or message. This keeps the details accurate for your batch.
Do I get continuing education (CE) credits?
No. The program issues a certificate of attendance and does not carry continuing dental education credits.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Fees are non-refundable once you have registered. The full wording is on the terms and refund policy page.
When does the next batch start?
Current and upcoming batch dates are listed on the batch schedule page. Message the team to be told as soon as the next batch is fixed.

The portal edition gives 180 days of access to the recordings from the date of enrolment. Check the portal for the current terms of the batch you choose.
Is there support after the online course?
Yes. Enrolled dentists receive 3 years of case discussion support from the date of sign-up, so you can share your cases and get guidance from Dr Nagrath.
In which language is the online course taught?
The online course is taught in English.
Does the online course give a certificate?
Yes. A Certificate of Participation is issued after completion of the course.
Choosing between the two
Which is better for a general dentist, the online or the offline course?
The online course builds your knowledge, diagnosis and planning skills at your own pace, while the offline program adds supervised practical training in a small batch. You can join either one or both, depending on your schedule and how hands-on you want the learning to be.
Can I do the online course first and the offline program later?
Yes. The two programs use the same MBT based framework, so the online lessons make a useful preparation before an offline batch.
Venue and travel
Where is the Orthomania training venue in Mumbai?
The offline training is held at The Dental House in Chembur East, Mumbai. Use the map link on the Mumbai page for directions.
How do I reach Chembur from the airport or from other cities?
Chembur has its own railway station on the Harbour line of the Mumbai suburban railway and is connected to the airport and to south Mumbai by road. Dentists from other cities usually arrive by train or flight and take a taxi or local train to Chembur.
Dentists from other cities
Can dentists from smaller cities and towns attend?
Yes. Dentists from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities make up an important part of our audience. The module format, with gaps of about two months, is planned so that you can travel to Mumbai for a few days at a time and run your practice in between.
Do I have to relocate to Mumbai for the course?
No. The offline program has 3 modules of 3, 2 and 3 days. You travel to Chembur for each module and return to your practice in between.
Still have a question?
